SHORT FIELD SPECIFIC GAME RULE ADAPTATIONS - GIRLS 6v6 Rules
- GIRLS All players wear goggles and mouth guards.
- Small Goals, no goalie
Regulation hard lacrosse ball.
Draw to begin game, all other field players at least 8 meters away.
After goal, "free clear" = goalie gives or passes ball to teammate on their defensive side of the midfield-line, self-start to restart play.
Opposition players must retreat to midfield line & cannot engage in defending until ball has crossed midfield.
No constraint on location for any players at any time. (No "off-sides".)
No passing rules or constraints.
Ties allowed in Pool play, sudden death overtime period in playoffs.
All substitutions on the fly.
No timeouts (injury moved to sidelines ASAP), no compensating time.
All other normal rules apply, including 2 minutes in penalty box for yellow card.
Full checking allowed.
